A week has passed since we returned to Singapore, however memories of the time spent in Cambodia is still fresh in my mind. Time spent building, chilling, bridging and all the 5s we took. haha

Through this trip i have learnt to appreciate whatever we have in Singapore. such as running water, electricity, smooth road etc. In cambodia, we had to draw the water that we need from the well, in order to fill up the water tank, we had to carry pails after pails of water whereas in singapore all we need to do in turn on the tap.

from this trip i have also realised how little we know, we may have read more textbooks then the villagers, however they are definately nore knowledgeable then us in some way or another. take for example, the day we wanted to cook "brown" rice, being a typical singaporean we are used to seeing white rice and has never seen unhusked rice before, we have completely no idea how to unhusked the rice, but the villagers have this knowledge, thus in a certain way they are certainly more knowledgeable then us.

Another aspect of the villagers that deserve our respect is their resourcefulness. how they are able to create something out of nothing, and make do with whatever little they have. a typical villager would probably earn less than US30 a month. which means that they are living on only 1usd a day. that would only be able to get us a bowl of noodle in singapore, however in Cambodia, the villager can use it to feed them for the entire day.
thats about all that i got to say

i will not forget the 16 days spent in cambodia and all the fun we had together. thanks all of you guys for making this trip such a memorable one for me.
