We did 6 major activities on Friday and each has taught me a different lesson. Here's a summary and my reflections:

1. Game
When faced with a challenge, we have to be level-headed and not deal with it recklessly like we did initially. But we began to strategise there after which improved the situation. More importantly, the team has to lean to be calm in time of difficulty. As a group, we have to work with each other and not have the "me-first" mindset, where you just save yourself and leave the rest behind.

2. YES/NO/MAYBE & Case Scenarios
This activity prepared us for situations we are likely to face in Cambodia. Hence, to me, it was the most useful activity of them all, especially after considering the fact that the chances of us actually thinking of these, without Ms Koh bringing them up, are really slim. Now, we would be less likely to be caught off guard and also know to be wary of our surroundings when we get there.
It has also allow me to further my understanding on whether I'm a Big S/ Small L, etc.

3. Window/Glass/Mirror
I was in the Window group, where all of us wrote matter-of-the fact responses by looking at the matter from the other party's point of view. This has taught me that I have to learn how to reflect on observations made instead of just looking at it so superficially on the surface and finally reaching the enlightenment stage of the Mirror.

4. Cheek/Chin Game
This basically highlights the importance of using as much as we can of our 5 senses to understand/evaluate our surroundings. Haha, but I honestly thought that Ms Koh, got her terms wrong at the slip of the tongue.

5. Photo Essay
Being assigned with the task of taking pictures, I realised that it made me more aware of the things around me. For example on a normal day, I would have been oblivious to a father and his daughter at the playground and yet with a camera, it dawned upon me that there was more to that than meet the eye; love, care and concern...
I think this has also prepared us for the real photo essay task in Cambodia and it is also able to document our journey in Cambodia and of those around us.

6. ACM
It forced me to be creative/innovative because it was hard to match the adjective I've chosen (sweet) with an artifact and also set me thinking on how the questions should be ask for the nature of the questions asked would reflect the maturity of my thoughts and it was important not to make a fool of myself by not having superficial questions. Even without the activity, we should be able to think and ponder about things around us instead of taking them for what they are. Try to find the answers to your questions by yourself through the thinking process or by discussing it others. Well, there's bound the be questions left unanswered, but what's life without its mysteries?
