It has been almost a week since the trip to Cambodia, but it only seems yesterday to me. Many things happened yet words alone cannot describe what I've experienced during the trip.
Initially, I was not very excited about the trip to Cambodia because the path ahead of me is filled with uncertainties and I'm straying out of my comfort zone into an unfamiliar location for 16 days. However, my past experience told me that things usually do not appear as bad as it looks to be and i should be optimistic about it. I'm glad that my experience doesn't lie. The trip proves to be far more interesting and rewarding than what i thought it would be.

From the trip, I got the chance to experience things that I could have never done back home such as walking barefoot on mud, catching frogs in padi field, harvesting crops, covering puppies with sand (opps i mean playing with puppies haha) and so on. It gives me the chance to know the life away from the concrete jungle that I've been living for the past 17 years. The life in the village is much more peaceful and less stressful. The villagers know each other well and news spread fast ( brown rice *cough*), which is unlike in Singapore where you barely know your neighbour. Admit it. This leads me thinking what makes Singaporeans so 'isolated' from one another. Is it because of the society? Or is it because of the way our houses are structured? Hmm.

Also, this project allows me to know more friends through which the bond is strengthen during the trip. I would not have known people like Cher Bock aka Woman of Communist China! or the suave Li Meng or the chips-loving Yanting. Otherwise I would have missed the chance to know great friends like them. HAHA.

Last but not least, I think it's the people (miss wong, miss tng, tola, seyha, the team and many more) that were involved that made this trip memorable for everyone. We also get to see the kiddy side of some individuals which includes me but personally I think Miss Wong would be the winner. Kidding.

The trip was very memorable which will bring back beautiful memories in the future.

Ciao,
tksquare
